A Relationship With God Isn't a Want, It Is a Need.

Recently I heard this quote that says, “when you are going through a rough time you know who to look up to, and when you are doing great you know who to lean on.” In any situation, you may be facing, you are going to need God in your life. He is always good, and He loves you more than you could ever be loved. You could be having the time of your life and you still need God in it. You could also be going through the darkest part of your life while needing Jesus. The point is, there is no right or wrong time to pray. There is no right or wrong time to surrender yourself to God.

Here’s the thing, good things happen. It is a fact. You may be in a difficult situation, and you’re unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, there are good moments that will happen in your life. You may one day feel like you are on top of the world. But, you still need God. Everything could be going right and, for a second, you could think to yourself that you have control of everything in this situation. Maybe you might think you don’t need God, and you can do this on your own. And the second you have this thought, you will fall. And you will fall hard. You see, you are in that good place because of God. He has put you in that situation and He deserves your praise in return. You will still be tested and put through difficult decisions, but we seem to only praise God when we are going through those dark times.

In those dark times, you are going to think you can’t survive whatever you are going through. And there will be many tears shed. During these moments, cling to God. It may not look like it now, but you will be okay in the end. God has a plan for you even when it seems He has forgotten you. You cannot escape these moments as much as you try, but you will survive. And when you do, you should thank God. The truth is, dark times will come again. You have to go through the darkest moments ahead of you to get to the good moments. But, God still loves you. And He is always on your side. You will always need Him.

Everyone needs God. There is never just certain times you will need God, and certain times you won’t. No sin you ever commit is too great to not be forgiven by God. Even when you do not feel you deserve God, He still loves you. He will always love you. And you will always need Him.
