We all have moments
in our life where we feel nothing is going right, and we don’t see how our situation
could possibly get better. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Instead,
all we see is an empty darkness, and it fills us with uncertainty and fear.
Living life completely engulfed in fear is in a way not living life at all. There
might be someone out there that doesn’t have a job, and they currently don’t know
what their next source of income will be or how they will pay bills they have
stacking up. There might be someone out there that is sick or injured, and
their not sure if they will ever get better. The best way to over come any
situation is to put your trust in God.
I know, if you’re
someone who is currently going through something rough and you clicked on this
post saying to yourself, “yes, finally some advice maybe I can find
encouragement or answers” then, you’re probably rolling your eyes at my ‘trust
in God’ advice. You’re probably saying, “Remington, I am going through a crisis
and I am completely lost and you want me to trust in God? Don’t you think I tried
that? I’m going through the worst moment in my life and your answer is to trust
God, who I cannot see and has not done anything to fix my situation?” And my
response would be, yes.
I’m currently taking
metaphysics, and we were discussing how crisis is not avoidable. If we haven’t already
gone through one, well don’t worry because we will. And my metaphysics professor
told us that we are going to be confused and yell out ‘why me?’ But, what is
better, being in a crisis and having anxiety about everything, or being in a
crisis with the mindset of ‘okay, I don’t know why this is happening to me or
how to fix it, but it is apart of God’s plan and in the end I am going to be
okay.’
God is on your side,
and He is fighting for you, when you realize that, and you put your trust into Him,
it eases the anxiety that has filled you. The truth is, you don’t know the end
result, but God does. He has a plan. I know that may not be what you want to
hear, but it is true. The truth is, you will never be 100% content with
everything in your life for everyday of your life. Even when you feel like you’re
on top and nothing can bring you down, something is going to happen to disturb
your peace. Your life is going to fluctuate between good and bad moments, but isn’t
it nice to know that God is on your side? And, while yes you have to go through
darkness, He is still going to make everything right. You just have to trust Him,
and that is not an easy task to do. But it will be worth it.
